Elaine and friends celebrated at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons with Elaine's 'friend' Raymond Blanc recently. Regulars at Le Manoir Elaine, Gaynor and Jeanette shard jokes and recipes with the great Chef (and Elaine's hero) before heading back to Millers for High Tea!

What a fabulous achievement! Despite tough competition Millers once again scoped the prestigious REYTA AWARD for the most 'remarkable cuppa' in East Yorkshire. Elaine said she was totally amazed and speechless. "To win the award once was fantastic but three times, back to back, is just incredible! Thanks to all our customers who support us everyday! |

MILLERS'S WIN 'REMARKABLE CUPPA AWARD' - For The Second Year Running
Millers Tea Room & Farm Shop won the prestigious 'Remarkable Cuppa' award for the second year running at the Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards ceremony in March 2011. The award, for the best Tea Room in East Yorkshire was collected by Elaine and some of the staff who helped to win the award. Elaine thanked all her fabulous loyal customers for all their support in helping Millers achieve this award and all the staff for their brilliant dedication to keeping Millers the number one tea room.

CHRISTMAS CHARITY CONCERT RAISES £822 ....
The annual Christmas Charity Concert was another fabulous event with everyone having lots of fun and getting into the festive spirit. Performers from all over the country made a tremendous contribution and all the Millers staff had everyone roaring with laughter with their fun pantomime - Grumpy Saves Christmas. Thanks to everyone who made the afternoon a great success and helped us to raise £822 for the Make a Wish Charity and for Castle Lodge a specialist dementia home in Hull. |
ELAINE WINS TOP AWARD...
Elaine has just been awarded one of the year's top awards - the prestigious 2010 Woman of Achievement Award. Beating some stiff competition Elaine was absolutely delighted to receive the award in recognition of her success with Millers since opening up at Skidby Windmill seven yaers ago. |

Wholesome food is an integral part of life and the community and Millers! - We use the very best wholesome ingredients which, where possible, are grown locally and processed using methods as close as possible to those found in nature. By encouraging people to buy from local sources, a greater proportion of income stays within the local economies.
All of the meals sold in the Tea Room are made from products available in the Farm Shop - Flour from Foston on the Wolds, honey from Scarborough, eggs from Walkington, fish from the East Coast, local naturally reared meat and poultry. Products, such as red onion marmalade, coleslaw, pate and mincemeat are home made and, when you visit Millers, you will always smell the cooking of fresh game pie, scotch eggs, patés, quiches, cakes or pies.
